Protecting and nourishing our brains is imperative at all ages, I believe we have a duty of care to ourselves to do everything we can to put a protective shield around our brains for the future. This duty of care extends beyond us to our families and loved ones - these are the people who will look after us as we get older so everything we can do today to help ourselves, also helps our families. As June is Brain Health Month this is a great time to focus in on and empower ourselves with the knowledge from experts on how starting today we can start to protect our brains for the future.

Research now tells us that dementia affects women more than men - we need to prepare, we need to protect ourselves. My Mum is 2 weeks away from her 90th birthday but unfortunately as she has dementia life is  not normal for her, or for us. Alzheimer's & Dementia are cruel twists of faith in ageing, but armed now with more research and many fantastic experts on this subject we know more.

This enables us to take action - we must protect our brains for the future. The time to do this is NOW. It's not just the brain fog of menopause we need to be aware of, it is the potential impact of our lifestyles and health today on our brains for the future.
