Dr Deirdre Lundy 

Ireland’s Medical Menopause Guru ! Deirdre is from the USA but attended UCD Medical school and never went back! Deirdre joined the Bray Women’s Health Centre in the late 1990’s having worked in all the major Family Planning clinics in Dublin. Outside the Clinic Deirdre works for the Irish College of General Practitioners and is in charge of GP training in sexual and reproductive health. Deirdre started and works in the new GP gynae clinics in the Rotunda and National maternity Hospitals and she is also on the staff of the Royal College of Surgeons where she introduces young medical students to the art of interviewing and examining patients with respect and kindness. Deirdre is a specialist in Menopause and regularly interviewed on TV and in the media. Visit website.

Diane Danzebrink 

Diane Danzebrink (The Menopause Counsellor) is passionate about improving education and awareness about menopause and empowering women to take control of their health and well being before, during and after menopause. A wellbeing consultant to individuals and organisations she has professional nurse training in menopause and is a member of The British Menopause Society.  Visit website.

Dr Mary Ryan

Dr Mary Ryan has a long interest in women’s health and is involved in a nationwide lecture series for the last two years on educating women. She trained in Trinity College Dublin and obtained her MB BCH BAO  in 1992.  She then specialised in Endocrinology and General Medicine and she is also on the Specialist Registrar.  Dr Mary was part of RTE's “How Long will You Live” programme for four years and is regular media guest for her expert views on Diabetes, Heart Disease and Endocrinology. Karen Cryan

Karen’s interest in olive oil began in Greece 30 years ago, when she stopped off at Aegina Island to catch a boat to a nearby island. Fate intervened and she spent 5 years living on the island of Aegina. Following that Karen trained in London with Judy Ridgway, British olive oil expert, and then moved on to Italy and Spain, where she completed her formal training as an olive oil taster and sommelier. As an olive oil expert Karen will walk us through this essential Omega nutrient. Mary Lynn

Mary trained as a holistic counsellor & psychotherapist with the International College for Personal and Professional Development (ICPPD) and has a Diploma in Psychology of Counselling as well as being a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland. She has worked with “Let’s Get Talking Galway” and as a volunteer with” Positive Mental Health”. Currently, she runs her own private practice based in Galway and she also works online with clients nationwide and in the UK as well working with Galway City Counselling. Jane Lewis

Jane McClenaghan - Linwoods

Nutritional Therapist Jane McClenaghan’s passion for good food started in childhood. Her philosophy of health and wellbeing is one of balance – simple, effective and practical changes that can fit into anyone’s lifestyle, to rejuvenate your motivation for eating well. Dr Hannah Short

Dr Hannah Short is an NHS GP and an accredited specialist in Menopause and Premenstrual Disorders, recognised by the British Menopause Society (BMS), The International Association for Premenstrual Disorders (IAPMD) and The National Association for Premenstrual Syndromes (NAPS). Hannah has personal experience of POI, having undergone premature surgical menopause at the age of 35. This informs her work and drives passion to improve the lives of similarly affected. Gillian Searson

Renowned acupuncturist Gillian has a long list of credentials - her interest in Chinese medicine and Philosophy began in the late 90’s through the practice of Qi Gong and Tai Chi, going on to study acupuncture in 2004. Since then, Gillian has been practising and training in many aspects of Chinese medicine. She completed her Licentiate in acupuncture in the First Affiliated hospital in Nanjing (China) and now runs a highly successful practise in Sandyford, Dublin. Mary Dunne (63) Irish grey-haired model, positive age ambassador and personal stylist. Aging doesn’t mean old fashioned. Helena O’Brien

Helena O’Brien at 39 years was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma in May 2019, she will say that she had no idea what was in store, including cancer induced menopause as a result of chemotherapy. Her treatment plan included 2 lumpectomy surgeries of the same breast along with an axillary clearance, 8 rounds of chemotherapy over 4 months and 20 rounds of radiotherapy. She finished her active treatment on 20thDecember 2019, just in time for Christmas and is now on tamoxifien daily. Two weeks into chemotherapy, Helena started to experience both hot and cold flushes, she was told this was just one of the side effects. However, over 12 months on she still experiences these daily and has spent her time documenting her healing journey following cancer on Instagram @this_is_not_a_race_its_healing including methods and treatments that are helping her reduce the side effects to a more manageable level.

Breidge Flood

Breidge’s early career started in a clinical environment, as a Radiographer, working in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.She worked here for five years, before taking a leap of faith applying and subsequently being offered a job in Radiology Sales. Twenty year later Breidge’s specialist area is women’s health  – selling both the latest mammography equipment and Dexa scanner technology into the Irish healthcare market. Visit website.
